An Odd Question

9 Dec

Dancers for Empire Of The Sun as photographed by B. MayerI was listening to a podcast the other day, and the host and his cohorts were discussing swimming with dolphins. The idea was presented that a lady pregnant with twins shouldn’t be allowed in the pool, as the animals will become confused by the dual-babies and attack the woman and her unborn.

Is this just an urban legend thats grown up around the insurance hazards of letting a pregnant person do something strenuous?

Google hasn’t provided an answer, and I’d be interested to hear if anyone has heard this before/might be able to shed some light on the situation.

How many pregnant ladies go swimming with dolphins anyway? As a twin myself I can only assume mom never swam with dolphins. Or I’d be sleeping with the fishes I guess.

I’m more concerned about the women in that picture. You suppose they’re trapped in fishnet stockings?

Even though the idea doesn’t personally hold water, I’m sure there are folks out there on the internet that find them quite a catch, and would love to reel one of them in.

I had heard about pregnant women and dolphins but not twins. I’ve also heard of dolphins getting extra amorous with men too. (In fact, there is an episode of King of the Hill about it.) Maybe the botton line is that no one should swim with dolphins.

Dolphins appear to be the randy pit bulls of the aquatic world.

“Randy Pit Bull” would be a good radio name.

Heeeyy, it’s The Morning Zoo Crew with Randy Pit Bull and the dolphin twins!
